In November, Bob Butler, NABJ president, and Dedrick Russell, NABJ's vice president for broadcast, joined journalists and public relations professionals at North Carolina A&T State University to examine media coverage of civil and human rights in 2013.

Do journalists, particulary black journalists, sometimes fail to distinguish the lines between objective reporter and active participant?

 

That question and others were recently examined during a town hall summit, "Media Coverage of Civil and Human Rights in 2013: Unfiltered and Unbiased?"
