PROFESSIONAL ​BIOGRAPHY

Ashleigh R. Wilson is a graduate from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University who earned her bachelor of science in journalism and mass communication with a concentration in multimedia journalism. As an Honors student, she was heavily involved in student organizations while also maintaining a GPA of 3.96. She served as the copy editor and social media specialist for The A&T Register campus newspaper; segment producer for the A&T talk show, "Triad Perspectives;" and communications director at First Baptist Church of Vienna, VA. Ashleigh is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and the Online News Association (ONA). She also holds memberships in Kappa Tau Alpha National Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society, the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Golden Key International Honour Society, and Alpha Lamba Delta Honor Society. Out of 900 applicants, Ashleigh was one of 97 students selected to participate in the 2016 Dow Jones News Fund Summer Internship Program. Ashleigh served as a 2016 digital intern within the news department at Azcentral.com in Phoenix, Arizona. She has worked at The Poughkeepsie Journal handing both print and digital content as a digital producer and currently manages digital content on Azcentral.com's site as a homepage producer.   

 

You need an individual with a close eye for detail, research, and one that is equipped with polished writing skills and excellent communication skills. Ashleigh's experience as a published writer, reporter, digital producer and current position as a homepage producer qualify her as an ideal candidate for a position at your company.
